Life sciences in the classroom
CSG manages the website AllesoverDNA.nl (All About DNA). This websites covers the gap between the ongoing scientific world and secondary education.
What is DNA? What are genes? What are the structures of a cell? How do you study DNA? Cell biology, molecular genetics and modern biotechnology become increasingly important, also in society and education. AllesoverDNA offers clear descriptions of the most important concepts of the teaching curriculum, but also of the most modern research techniques. It also offers current science news and backgrounds, teaching modules, and self-training for tests and exams.
All About DNA is developed for students and their teachers in the upper levels of Dutch secondary education.
All About DNA is an initiative of Genomics NL. The current version has been developed by CSG in 2011-2012 in close collaboration with De Praktijk. Regarding the content of the website, CSG also collaborates with educational website Bioplek and popular science website Kennislink (part of the Dutch Center for Science and Technology NCWT).
